MERCH PROCESS

So, after I finished the digipack, I wanted to add more items to our portfolio... so I suggested to Myiesha that we make merch. I wanted to make notebooks because they fit our concept, but Myiesha wanted to make clothing. So, what exactly did we do? We produce BOTH! While Myiesha worked on the shirts, I worked on the notebooks. We made two of everything.
I got right to work on this part of the project! I went on Canva (I think Canva is my best friend at this point) and looked up different notebook canvases to send to Myiesha for inspiration so that I could use them as inspiration and make my own notebooks.
I then used those inspirations to create two notebooks; I wanted both of them to be black to match our digipack, and I wanted to incorporate elements of our music video into the notebooks, which I did by including the lyrics and animated characters. In terms of lyrics and animated characters, I kept them fairly similar. I also wanted to include encouraging messages because the notebooks were intended for school students, and by doing so, the merchandise appears more personalised. 
Myiesha was sewing the shirts. She wanted the front of the shirt to be very artistic, and the back to be plain with black and white strapped arms. That is precisely what she did. (The reveal will be in the following post).
