Coming up with a Record Label Logo

Since Myiesha had already begun work on the animation for the music video, I decided to create the record label logo ( I am not a good artistic).
We were on the phone to talk about the animation and the music video when Myiesha sent me a random idea for a record label logo that she found on Google (the picture in front of the text). I liked the idea of making something out of bones and contrasting it with a heart or something related to love or calmness. This was the first inspiration Myiesha and I had for our logo because we hadn't even considered it before.
The first thing we did was decide whether we wanted a Japanese name for the company or an English name. We chose Japanese because, first and foremost, we couldn't find any specific word in English that really fit what we wanted, and secondly, our artist is Japanese, and the artists who inspire us are also Japanese, so it only made sense for us to incorporate more Japanese essence in our portfolio. So Myiesha and I began looking up different Japanese words and were stuck between two. Ikigai means "life's purpose," and wabi-sabi means "acceptance of transscience and imperfection." We chose wabi-sabi because it is more in line with our concept and the essence of our music video, as the protagonist is living away from her family but must accept this fact/imperfection in order to continue her studies and make her family proud.
On the same day, Myiesha and I continued to send each other logo references and inspiration so that we had plenty to choose from and could pick and choose which elements we liked and which we didn't. Myiesha wanted bones and a star at first, then a hand made of bones, which I told her was beyond my abilities, so we both settled for a heart with bones.
So, after we had a rough idea of what we both wanted, I took out my iPad, which I hadn't used in years, and began drawing on Procreate. Because I had never been particularly interested in the arts, it took me some time to create a final piece that I was pleased with (it took me 10 million tries and I also got covid while making it). I sent Myiesha a prototype to see what changes she wanted to make to the logo (I had only made bones at this point), and because Myiesha is a fine artist, she had a million things to say ._.
So Myiesha asked me to write 'Wabi-Sabi' beneath the bone heart. She also requested that I colourize the bones and make them rusty and in brown/neutral tones. She also requested that I change the way 'WS' is written in the centre. So we decided to use Wabi-Sabi in Japanese because it looked better and was more appropriate for the logo.
Finally, after 10 billion errors, I sent this to Myiesha (including not being able to send the transparent background jpg oh it was frustrating). She liked it, but we both thought there was something missing, and it appeared too empty and dull. 
We changed the placement of the Wabi-Sabi in Japanese and added flowers, but I'll gatekeep the final product for my next post (I know, same) The image on the right was an option for our final piece, but we chose not to use it because we liked our final piece far more than this, and I am glad we did.
