The song begins with "go," implying that someone is on their way somewhere, which was exactly what we needed for our concept to take off. Despite the song's upbeat nature, the lyrics reveal a hidden meaning, similar to a person who hides their emotions behind a smile.

Tells us that sometimes we believe we fail to love someone completely because we believe they deserve so much more, degrading ourselves into thinking it's our fault and refusing to admit how much pain we may have caused them. In our music video, we show the lead character's love for her sister and how she might have felt about her sister's decision to study abroad.

Furthermore, the artist tends to show how they are hurt in some way, as they see the person they love learning more about them, revealing their true colours, and are afraid they will not approve.
"Why'd you let me let you go?" may imply that the artist is an overthinker, which has caused him to gradually drift apart from their loved one, regretting their decisions and being constantly caught up in their head. Our video depicts the lead actor in an emotional state as a result of her separation from her family, particularly her sister; we used various symbolism throughout the music video to represent resilience and troubled emotions; we also attempted to alternate 'Madeline's reality of thoughts and emotions through animation.

As the lead actress spends more time away, she may fear that her sister will lose her as a potential role model, and to her, the sister has been a ray of hope pushing her forward to see her succeed, so she "wishes you'd never watch me leave."
The lyrics in the last few verses were significant to what we were trying to show, so we thought about our video from a narrative perspective that we could apply to GOODWIN's theory; indeed, we were able to fulfil the needs of our idea and decided not to use the entire song.
