It wouldn't be a Myiesha edit without a tonne of effects; those who know me know that I enjoy working with animations and CGI of any kind to spice up the video. The first visible effect is the portal sucking the main character into the world of animation.
Using a "burn" transition, I move from holding the phone to overlaying myself over a digitally edited portal, which then glitches into animation.
Here's an editing blunder... Don't worry, I fixed it just for fun.
Throughout the music video, we see various glitches to represent the character's problems in life, as well as flaws in her personality that cause her to enter a minimalistic animated world, which is indeed her mind.
While the fireworks scene is playing, a firework shoots up to see the sister. This was animated, and with the help of AI, I was able to easily create a shockwave that resembled a closeup of fireworks exploding at night.
The sister can be seen glitching in and out to demonstrate the main character's delusion. I then superimposed the arm onto a running pov to add more emotion to the scene... and also because it was difficult to run with a camera in one hand... I also added blinking effects to the clip to give it "the vibe" before transitioning to another animated scene.
